This wonderful bar space that Jonathan Scholl designed and built over 20 years ago had a recent water problem due to a faulty icemaker. When the icemaker went down, water seeped out across the stone floor of the bar area and caused significant damage to the mahogany bar. 

Great Works Sometimes Need Repair

The client contacted DOVETAIL Group LLC to see if we could bring the bar back to our shop to repair and refinish the damaged areas. The logistics of removing all of the equipment and disassembling the bar was going to be too much so we decided to implement a “house call” repair.

We surgically removed damaged trims and panels from the bar so that we could take just those parts back to our shop.

We fabricated matching new parts, had them stained and finished, and then took them back to the bar for surgical re-assembly.

The resulting repair was virtually undetectable and the bar was back in operation!
